The person behind
the builds
Builder
I think in systems and ship real products. If it solves a real problem, I want to build it.
Research-Minded
Computational biology sits at an extraordinary intersection of data and life. I'm drawn to scientific problems where code becomes discovery.
Data-Focused
Good decisions come from good data. I love turning raw information into insight and building the pipelines that make it possible.
Community-Driven
As an RA and mentor, I know that technical work doesn't happen in isolation. People and trust matter as much as code.

Research & internships
I'm a Columbia University undergraduate studying at the intersection of biology and computing — a space where algorithms illuminate biological systems and data reshapes how we understand living things. My path has been shaped by a genuine curiosity: not just what the tools do, but why they work, and how they can become more useful.
That curiosity extends beyond coursework. I've built full-stack applications, dug into data pipelines, and shipped tools that real people use. I learn by building, and I build toward things that actually matter.

Where I've shown up
Resident Adviser
Columbia University Housing
Live-in community leader for a floor of Columbia undergraduates. On-call crisis support, student wellness programming, and close collaboration with the Dean of Students office.
- On-call crisis support and student wellness coordination
- Designed and facilitated community programming and academic workshops
- Collaborated with Dean of Students office on policy and student affairs
Research Assistant
Computational Biology Lab
Contribute to research at the intersection of computational methods and biological systems — data processing pipelines, genomic analysis, and research software tooling.
- Built data cleaning and analysis pipelines for genomic datasets
- Contributed to literature reviews and experimental design
- Developed reproducible research workflows using Python and R
Software Engineering Intern
Tech Organization
Full-stack feature development and analytics tooling in a fast-moving engineering team. Worked across frontend and backend, participating in code review, sprint planning, and architectural decisions.
- Built and shipped user-facing features in React and TypeScript
- Improved data pipeline performance with backend optimization
- Participated in sprint reviews, retros, and technical design discussions
Academic Tutor & Mentor
Columbia Academic Programs
One-on-one academic support in STEM subjects, focused on making technical material accessible and building genuine understanding rather than surface recall.
- One-on-one tutoring in CS, mathematics, and biology
- Developed supplemental study materials for complex topics
- Helped students navigate academic challenges and build confidence
Hackathon Participant
Multiple Events
Competed in multiple hackathons, shipping functional product prototypes under time pressure. Strong emphasis on real-world relevance, product thinking, and clean execution.
- Shipped MVPs across web, data, and healthcare-adjacent domains
- Led cross-functional teams under 24–48 hour build timelines
- Pitched technical products to judges and stakeholder audiences
What I work with
Proficiency
Depth overview
What keeps me curious
Software Engineering
Clean systems, thoughtful architecture, and the craft of building software that lasts and scales with purpose.
Computational Biology
Algorithms that reveal patterns in living systems — where code becomes a lens for understanding biology.
Bioinformatics
Building pipelines and tools that help researchers navigate genomic, proteomic, and expression datasets.
Data-Driven Products
Making data meaningful through visualization, analysis, and systems that help people make better decisions.
Developer Tools
Extensions, CLIs, and platforms that make other builders faster, more capable, and less frustrated.
Healthcare & Nonprofit Tech
Technology at its most meaningful — software that serves people in high-stakes, high-need contexts.
Applied Research Systems
Software infrastructure that makes research faster, more reproducible, and easier to share and build on.
AI in Science
How ML and intelligent systems can be embedded into useful, real-world scientific products — especially in biology.
Exploring the intersection of machine learning and genomic data — specifically how AI-assisted tools can make bioinformatics workflows faster and more accessible for researchers.

Let's build something meaningful.
I'm always excited to connect about software, data, research, and impact-driven work. Whether it's a role, a collaboration, or just a conversation — reach out.
